Get a job in Canada in 3 easy steps

One of the most appealing elements of Canada is its employment opportunities. Canada has always been a source of great job possibilities, particularly for Indians. Every year, thousands of Indians visit Canada, mostly because this country offers the highest-paying employment opportunities in the world.

To apply for a Canadian job from India, you will be required a professional resume, Cover Letter supporting your job application, documents of previous employment, payslips for salary evidence, identity proof, passport, visa/work permit, and so on.

As Canada's labor need is growing at an alarming rate, it is the ideal moment to relocate to Canada.

How to get a job in Canada from India?

1. Make a CV that bypasses filters

For many of us, preparing a resume appears to be an easy process but sometimes, it may be difficult. A CV, on the other hand, necessitates a great deal of knowledge and experience. Every month, Canadian firms receive hundreds of employment applications. Filtering all of these by humans is a challenging process. As a result, the majority of businesses delegate the work of sifting CVs to a program known as an "Application Tracking System." This system will scan all CVs and screen out applications based on keywords, resume formats, alignment, profiles, and other criteria.

2. Choose the best sources for job applications

In 2021, the manner of applying for employment has entirely altered. To get recognized by employers, you must use a multi-channel strategy. Reaching out to the appropriate employer is now easier than ever, thanks to the rise of LinkedIn and other job portals. Posting positions on several Canadian job boards, using social media, contacting Canadian HR consultants, and applying for recent openings directly on the company's website will help you produce answers rapidly.

3. Apply for a Permanent Resident Visa in Canada

Having a Canada PR increases your chances threefold. The employer will seek applicants who have the legal right to work in Canada and are not sponsored by the firm. It is prudent to apply for Canadian permanent residency if you have a strong degree and job experience.

What is the average time it takes to get a job in Canada?

It is estimated that more than half of job searchers find work within 16 weeks of applying. In a survey, it was found that a substantial majority of candidates applied to no more than ten job advertisements before receiving their offer.

Five Easiest Ways To Immigrate To Canada

It is difficult to immigrate to Canada. To successfully apply for Canadian immigration, one must go through a number of processes. In addition, the procedure might take several months, if not years. You may enhance your chances of success and prevent "pitfalls," disappointments, and delays if you know what choices are available.

You may discover how to migrate to Canada in a variety of ways, including permanent residency, working, visiting, and even studying.

Canada has been one of the most popular immigration destinations, particularly for Indians. In this post, we'll go through the five easiest ways to immigrate to Canada, whether you're a student, a worker, or a family member.

Here's what you'll need to know:

1. EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM

It is the fastest pathway to enter Canada. It is a program to direct PR applications for three economic class immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

It is a points-based system that takes into account several factors such as language, education, work experience, age, job offer, and flexibility. You will be awarded points based on a complex ranking system (CRS).

Applicants who score at or above the cut-off receive an invitation to apply (ITA). Although a job offer is not required, it does enhance your score. Provincial governments benefit from expedited entry as well. A provincial nomination also boosts your score. To begin, you must first create an Express Entry profile, after which you must provide the necessary documents as given below:

  • Passport or travel document.
  • Language test results
  • Educational credential assessment report
  • Provincial nomination (if you have one)

If you have a written employment offer from a Canadian employer, proof of work experience, and a certificate of certification in a trade profession issued by a Canadian province or territory, all of these items are required (if you have one).

Proof of funds

If your Express Entry profile is approved, you will be added to the Express Entry pool of candidates wherein you’ll be ranked as per your profile. Candidates with the best scores in this pool will be invited to apply. You will have nearly 90 days or 3 months to file your permanent residency application.

 2.PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM

It is mostly for applicants who wish to reside in a certain province or region. To contribute to the economy of a given province or region, they must have the necessary skills, education, and job experience.

Provinces have their own immigration policies aimed towards certain demographics, referred to as "streams." A province may target students, businesspeople, or skilled employees and so on as per the requirements.

You can apply either on paper or through the online Express Entry application process.

One option to apply for nomination under the Express Entry procedure is to contact a province directly. If your province has nominated you, establish an Express Entry profile or edit an existing one to reflect your nomination. Alternatively, you can include your preferred provinces in your Express Entry profile. You can apply to their Express Entry stream if you receive a "notice of interest."

In any instance, you must meet the province's eligibility standards and submit an Express Entry profile. If you are invited to apply, you can do so through IRCC.

Provinces or territories that provide PNP are Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan and Yukon.

Keep in mind that Quebec does not have a provincial nominee program. It has its own immigration regulations, such as Quebec-selected skilled employees. To do so, you must apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate from the Quebec government. If you receive the certificate, you can apply for permanent residency with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

 3. FAMILY SPONSORSHIP

If you are at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person registered as an Indian in Canada under the Canadian Indian Act, you can sponsor your family.

In case of family sponsorship the Spouse, partner, or dependent children, parents and grandparents, adopted child, Relatives (With certain conditions) of the Candidate are allowed to apply for Canada PR.

4. START-UP VISA

It's for newcomers who want to start a business in Canada. This visa allows people to enter on a work permit and then seek a permanent residence visa later, however the work permit must be backed up by Canadian investors.

To become eligible under the start-up visa program you must have a qualifying business, commitment certificate and letter of support from a designated entity showing that business has support, Proficiency in language (English or French), sufficient funds for settling in Canada.

5. STUDY PERMIT

A study permit is a document that permits foreign citizens to study in Canada. Since a study permit is not a visa, you may need a visiting visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA). This permission is valid for the duration of the study program with a grace period of 90 days.

You can apply for a study visa online using Student Direct Stream if you live in China, India, Morocco, Pakistan, the Philippines, Senegal, or Vietnam. SDS applications are typically processed within 20 days.
