SINP implemented an important change to its Overseas Skilled Worker – Occupations in-demand stream in September 2019. Candidates are not required to have a work experience in an occupation in demand to be qualified for this stream. They are only required to not possess experience in any of the occupations that are included in the Excluded Occupations lists of Saskatchewan.

Overseas Skilled Worker – Occupations in-demand stream of SINP is not linked with the Express Entry System. You are not required to have a profile in Express Entry to obtain a nomination for Canada PR Visa under this stream from SINP. It is also not mandatory to have a job offer for applying to receive a nomination from SINP.
SINP Point Assessment Grid
The following is the allocation of points on the point’s assessment grid of SINP and applicable factors:
- Training and Education: 23 Points Maximum
- Language Ability: 20 Points Maximum
- Skilled Work Experience: 15 Points Maximum
- Age: 15 Points Maximum
- Link to Saskatchewan Labor Market: 30 Points Maximum
- Ability in the French Language:10 Points Maximum
Total: 110 points
Apart from the above criteria, applicants are also required to
- Secure at least 60 out of a total of 110 points available on the point’s assessment grid of SINP
- Possess at least CLB - Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 proficiency in the language
- Have at least a Degree, Certificate, or Diploma from a Post-secondary study or Learning Program or on par overseas education. They have to offer an ECA - Educational Credential Assessment Report for demonstrating that overseas credentials are on par with Canadian standards.
- Demonstrate evidence of Licensure or Professional Status for regulated occupations, if in case it is applicable
- Prove ability in the French language if having
- Possess adequate funds for settlement along with a well-planned settlement plan
The mode of operation of SINP EOI Draws
Upon the creation of your EOI profile online in SINP, you will be entered into a pool of eligible candidates:
- The validity of EOI is 1 year from the date of submission of your profile
- Your profile in EOI must remain active
- You will be offered a rank based on the details you provide in the EOI profile
Candidates in the EOI pool with the highest points are offered the invitation to file a full application to SINP. The invites are provided through EOI draws. A digital system is adopted by SINP for accepting EOIs and nomination applications online. The communication regarding your application/status is through e-mail.
The details that you offer in EOI have to be accurate and correct at all times. You must regularly update any changes that occur to the information in your EOI profile so that SINP has your latest profile.
If the details that you provide in the EOI profile are found to be incomplete or false, there are maximum chances of refusal of Visa for at least 2 years.
