5 Compelling Reasons to Apply for the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program

Canada has become a place for opportunities, growth, and a new standard of living for immigrants. This is because the nation has always adopted a strategy of inclusion of people from all over the world.

Many of those who wonder how to get job in Canada from India, will now be relieved. This is because skilled workers need to work in their provinces. One of them is Saskatchewan which has become active in recruitment.

They had even introduced pilot workers to retain overseas workers. After all, they need people who have the true intention to live and work for the longer term.

5 Compelling Reasons to Apply for the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program

5 Compelling  Reasons to Apply for the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program

Learning what is Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program

The province provides immigrants with a choice to work in-demand occupations. Getting a nomination by the SINP is considered a direct route to PR. They do this by sending a nomination to the prospective skilled worker.

What the PNP of Saskatchewan aims to achieve is enough professionals to be able to meet their local labour needs. There are some other jobs which will be the reason the provinces invite newcomers.

Presently the SINP has even expanded the eligibility conditions of professions as many as 279. This will include lower-skilled or intermediate professions. These people can apply for PR through the Existing Work permit stream.

Those workers who have job offers from Saskatchewan employers, those with job offers, shortages in labour, or even entrepreneurs can apply through the SINP.

Types of Streams under the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program

1. International Skilled Worker

2. Saskatchewan work experience

3. Farm owner and operator

4. Entrepreneur

Why apply PR via Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program - Top 5 Benefits

1. Processing times are faster - One of the biggest reasons why people wish to apply for the SINP is the less time it takes in connection to processing time. Many people do not prefer to wait when they know that their jobs are on the relevant and updated skilled occupation list of Saskatchewan.

In every 3 months, there is a change in the processing times. This can even be dependent on the volume of applications and the demand it has in the province. Once you know how to get a job in Canada from India in this province half your battle is won.

For each of the streams of the SINP, the time of processing is calculated in weeks mainly. The Saskatchewan government makes the final choice on whom to give SINP nominations. This depends mainly on the demand it has currently.

2. Provides nomination for permanent residency to job aspirants - Those who have already created an Express Entry profile, can also apply to the SINP. Even the best immigration consultants in Hyderabad can help you know more about this.

Those who have not gotten their PR through the Federal Skilled Worker or Trades program have the option to apply for SINP. If you match their requirements and convince them of a positive economic impact, you get awarded with a nomination.

The International Skilled Worker employment offer or Express entry route are some of the streams under the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee program. Just keep in mind that you will need to get a minimum of 60 points on the SINPs points grid or points calculator.

3. An extra 600 CRS points - This can be a huge boost if you do not get PR through Express entry but have a profile. There are times when your profile enters the pool with 67 points, but you miss the CRS cutoff to get an Invitation to Apply for permanent residency.

Getting a SINP nomination means you get 600 additional CRS points. What this means is a definite selection for permanent residency. Now not even your CRS scores can stop. Now Express Entry can grant you a nomination looking at your demand in a specific province.

It is one such way to get a PR which is not discussed as much as it should be. Which is why you can even ask your best immigration consultants in Hyderabad. They will explain how you need your priority to have your Express entry profile created as they have their streams of selection.

4. Get a Temporary Work Permit - Many of those whose PR will take time to come because of the speed in processing are granted a work permit. This will be temporary. However, your application will need approval by the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee program.

What you get is a letter of support for temporary employment from the IRCC. This means that you can commence working under an employer while your application for PR is coming. Just have your job offer letter that shall help you get started with getting some experience.

5. Assistance from PNP officers - Another reason many of you will miss and not even give notice to is how SINP offers assistance. Many of those who have no idea about how and where to apply to receive timely help from provincial immigration officers.

The final verdict regarding your PR will be done by the Government of Saskatchewan. Just ensure all your documents are attached and the details are correctly filled. Ask around if possible as SINP has open channels for aid.

Conclusion

By reading all this, there is no reason you should not choose to apply for PR through the SINP. In case you still have your queries, feel free to come and visit Nationwide Visas. They have time and again been ranked as the best immigration consultants in Hyderabad.

Minimum IELTS score for Provincial Nominee programs in 2024

Have an idea to move to another country and that too overseas? There is no better option than Canada. The nation has your best interests at heart. From free education to free healthcare, there is nothing you cannot get with this nation.

Safe and secure, Canada has been actively calling immigrants. Why so? Well, looking at the figures and immigration targets set every year we know why. Even in 2024, Canada plans to welcome a total of 485,000 migrants.

One of the highest numbers of immigrants comes through the permanent residence. Many pathways, like Express entry or Provincial Nominee programs, can lead to PR. But since Express entry is so competitive, PNP is a great alternative.

No matter what your path may be since PR routes in Canada are points tested, you need a minimum score OF 67 out of 100. What Canada needs is skilled workers, especially those who have a good minimum IELTS score for Canada PR.

Knowing English is a plus point for skilled professionals. Most of the communication and success in the Canadian workplace depends on how well you know the language. Without that, you will struggle. A low IELTS score can lead to visa rejection as well.

What are Provincial Nominee Programs?

Like Express entry is a points-based system depending on the CRS score for Invitation to Apply, PNP depends on the nomination. If your profession matches the local labor demands of the province, there are high chances of getting a nomination.

Started in 1998, the PNP program is unique to each of the Canadian provinces. The PNP of every province is designed as per their unique demographic needs. For example, the Saskatchewan provincial nominee program has its list of skilled occupations in demand.

An expert tip is to create your Express Entry profile, that way you can gain as much as an extra 600 CRS points. These programs help in the economic building and advancement of Canada as an overall nation.

The decision for permanent residency should be approved by the Canadian federal government, as it is a national decision. This is why the status of your permanent residency cannot be approved by provincial programs.

No wonder they are just “nominee programs” as their name suggests. Here are some top provinces in Canada that have their own PNP programs:

  • Alberta

  • British Columbia

  • Manitoba

  • New Brunswick

  • Newfoundland and Labrador

  • Northwest Territories

  • Nova Scotia

  • Ontario

  • Prince Edward Island

  • Quebec

  • Saskatchewan

  • Yukon

Relation between IELTS and Provincial Nominee Programs

PNPs use IELTS scores to assess the language proficiency of applicants. This can be particularly in English-speaking provinces like Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and many more. A high IELTS score increases an applicant's eligibility for nomination under a PNP.

Most PNPs require a minimum IELTS score of at least 6.0 or 6.5 in each of the disciplines. IELTS is divided into four bands reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Even PNPs need a minimum IELTS score for Canada PR.

You cannot do without knowledge of English. This can be true for most of the provinces of Canada. Not only is there a requirement of job skills according to the demand, but IELTS as well. Take your tests even before applying to Jobs via your NOC type.

NOC C and NOC D jobs can be done with IELTS requirements as low as 4.0 across all the bands. Certain programs in Canada even need a higher IELTS score. This can be for NOC A and NOB class jobs mainly.
