How to obtain ITA for Canada PR from India?

You can obtain an Invitation to Apply for Canada PR from India through the Express Entry System. For this, you have to first qualify for at least one of the 3 federal economic immigration programs under the system. If eligible, you have to create a profile in the Express Entry System as the first step.

The 3 immigration programs under Express Entry are:

  • Federal Skilled Trades Program - FSTP
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program - FSWP
  • Canada Experience Class Program - CEC

All three programs select candidates for ITA from the Express Entry pool.

Creating a profile in Express Entry

The first step requires you to confirm if you are eligible to enter the Express Entry pool. This is determined by replying to specific questions on the website of the Government of Canada.

You will be asked to indicate the province in Canada to which you intend to immigrate. The website will ask you about the language test you have appeared in and the score obtained in it. If you are wondering how many bands are required for Canada, it is 6 bands in IELTS for FSWP. You will also specify the number of years of work experience in a specific industry.

Once you are declared to be eligible for any of the 3 programs under Express Entry, you will have to advise the website on further steps.

The website will provide you with a code for personal reference which has a validity of some months. This code is applicable only to your profile in the Express Entry. You must record this for reference in the future as and when required when you apply online for immigration.

You must then log in to the website of the Government of Canada and create a profile online in the Express Entry System.

ITA is sent when your Express Entry Profile has a high rank

You will be offered the ITA for Canada PR Visa when your profile scores a high ranking in the pool of candidates in the Express Entry System. The ranking is according to the CRS Comprehensive Ranking System adopted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. The ITA is provided in any of the selection draws held once in 15 days.

Once you receive the ITA, IRCC will also share a message with you. It will inform you regarding the skilled immigration program for filing PR Visa applications and the application process.

You have to file a complete application for PR Visa after receiving the ITA. It can be accepted or disapproved based on if you can fulfill all the appropriate criteria and submit specified documents.

The 60-Day period to reply to an ITA

After receiving the ITA, you must make attempts to reply to it at the earliest as you have just 60 days for taking any of the following steps:

  • File a complete APR - Application For Permanent Residence through your online account in Express Entry inclusive of all supporting documents
  • Turn down the ITA through the online account if you are not prepared to file an application within 60 days or if a change in your circumstances has rendered you unqualified for ITA

The ITA expires 60 days after it has been issued and your profile is eliminated from Express Entry unless you take any of the above 2 steps. Any extension to this standard 60 days period is not granted by IRCC.

In all instances wherein you have to revise any information in your Express Entry profile after you have received the ITA, you have to opt for declining the ITA online. It will automatically provide you entry into the Express Entry pool of candidates. You can then change your information and wait for a fresh ITA in the subsequent selection draw.

Being honest in completing the Express Entry profile is crucial

Your circumstances can change in any of the following ways and influence your score under CRS:

  • Graduating from a higher schooling level
  • Completing an extra year of work experience in Canada
  • Receiving a qualification certificate
  • Better scores on language test
  • Fresh score in a language test at a lower level
  • Losing an eligible offer of a job

IRCC elaborates on its website that candidates who get the ITA will be asked to prove the accuracy of the information offered in their Express Entry profile. If it is revealed that the applicant has provided fake information in their profile, their application will be rejected. They may also be imposed with punishment.

The punishment includes being declared ineligible for admission to Canada. Alternatively, they can be banned from arriving in Canada through any mode for up to 5 years.

If you wish to obtain an ITA for Canada PR Visa and immigrate to Canada, contact Nationwide Visas for expert consultation and guidance.

In another latest ranking, Canada has again scored a top ranking for its cities’ livability and Universities’ quality.

Earlier in 2022, the 3 cities in Canada Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary were included in the top 10 global most livable cities by the EIU - Economist Intelligence Unit. The EIU said that the top 10 cities in the rankings continue to be mostly from Western Europe and Canada.

Copenhagen is in second place behind Vienna which secured the top position globally. Meanwhile, Calgary advanced to the third position jointly with Zurich from its previous 18th place after the elimination of COVID-19 curbs.

The coveted position of the most livable Canadian city was thus secured by Calgary with its third ranking globally. Vancouver emerged as the top second city in Canada with its global 5th ranking.

Toronto meanwhile obtained the 8th ranking globally as the most livable city globally and became the 3rd top livable city in Canada.

The survey assessed 173 cities globally for selecting the top livable cities. Middle-sized cities in affluent nations performed much better than mega-metropolitan cities.

The report elaborates that the top ten cities are also those having minimal pandemic curbs. Moreover, the policy to wear face masks is also no more effective in the majority of circumstances.

Consequently, cities included in the top 4 positions prior to the pandemic have resurged again. This is due to their stability, good services and infrastructure, and pleasant leisure activities.

Work Abroad: Apply now for Canada PR from India

If you plan to apply for Canada PR from India, the right time is now as Canada has 1 Million plus job vacancies. Employers require qualified candidates and several of them are seeking overseas nationals.

In a report in early 2022, RBC noted that in almost industries in Canada and across all sectors, companies are hit hard by the historic scarcity of workers.

The study “Labor Shortages in Canada Will Outlast A Recession: Proof Point” highlights the harsh reality for employers in Canada. It has been authored by Economists Nathan Janzen and Claire Fen and Economics Writer Naomi Powell.

The authors note that as of 2022 June, businesses in Canada posted nearly 70% higher job vacancies than the pre-pandemic times. However, these companies were competing for 13% lesser unemployed workers in comparison with those available in 2020 February.

The effect is even harsh: more than 50% of businesses in Canada report that scarcity of workers is hindering their competency to enhance production. It is in comparison with 40% prior to the pandemic and 30% 10 years ago.

In the streets in Canada, it appears as if it is normal business, except for the excess signboards of help wanted that are apparently everywhere. Several entrepreneurs are limiting the hours of work for their companies owing to a shortage of qualified workers.

Statistics Canada in its latest quarterly report for job vacancies stated that firms in Canada were making efforts to fill 997,000 unfilled job openings in the second quarter of 2022. As per available records in Canada, this is the maximum figure of job openings in any quarter for any year.

Job openings increased by 4.5% with 45,000 extra vacancies than in Q1-2022. It was an increase of 42.3% or 296,500 job openings in comparison with Q2-2021, adds Statistics Canada.

The Canadian agency further adds that the rate of job openings was 5.7% in Q2-2022, which was also a record-high rate. It corresponds to the figure of job openings as a proportion of overall demand for labor, the sum of vacant and filled positions.

Employers are offering a high salary to entice workers

After Q1-2020, an increase of 4.2% in demand for labor has surpassed growth in payroll employment. It has increased by 1.7% and resulted in record-high vacancies in jobs. In many sectors, it is a war for bidding as employers try to outbid others for the top employees.

Notwithstanding the higher salaries, employees are nevertheless lagging behind in 2022 as inflation is taking a bigger cut from their purchasing power. Wages per hour in Canada increased by 5.3% in Q2-2022 but inflation also increased by 7.5% in the same time period.

However, there are winners too.

Workers in 5 sectors witnessed a hike in salaries surpassing the rate of inflation. It includes employees in Technical, Scientific, and Professional Services who received a salary hike of an average of 11.3% to an hourly $ 37.05. Workers in Wholesale Trades also witnessed a hike in wages by 10.6% to an hourly $ 26.10.

Employees in the rest of the sectors were not that fortunate. Salaries were lower in the remaining sectors in comparison with inflation including Social Assistance, Healthcare, Construction, and Retail Trade.

The majority of employers in Canada who are finding it tough to fill job vacancies are the ones who have offered pay hikes on par with the inflation rate.

Jobs vacancies increase in 6 Provinces

Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Ontario Provinces witnessed an increase in job openings.

Job vacancies in Ontario Province increased by 6.6% to reach 379, 700. In Nova Scotia, the increase was by 6%, and 22,400 jobs. An increase of 5.6% was recorded by British Columbia with 163, 600 jobs. For Manitoba, it was an increase of 5.2% and 29, 300 jobs while a 4.4% increase was recorded by Alberta with 100,900 jobs.

The Quebec Province recorded a 2.4% increase in job vacancies with 248, 100 jobs. New Brunswick Province witnessed a decrease of 6.1% with 15,200 jobs and for the rest of the provinces, the change was little, noted Statistics Canada.

Employers in Canada can also hire overseas nationals for filling vacant job positions under the Express Entry System. It is an online system that receives immigration applications.

Candidates who fulfill the criteria for eligibility can file an application online known as the EOI - Expression of Interest. This is through any of the 3 federal economic immigration programs or linked PNPs to the Express Entry pool. They must also fulfill the requirement for a minimum IELTS score for Canada Express Entry.

Candidates in the Express Entry pool are ranked over one another through the system based on points known as CRS - Comprehensive Ranking System.

Canada’s least recorded temperature is as freezing as Mars

The highly unsurprising fact about Canada is that its winters are really cold, really. The average least temperature for Ottawa in January is -14.4 C.

Nevertheless, in 1947 on 3rd February, Yukon’s tiny village Snag recorded a temperature of -63 C. It is almost equal to the temperature reported on the planet Mars's surface! This record-low temperature made remaining Canada’s winter appear like a relaxing vacation on the beach.

The number of lakes in Canada is more than anywhere in the world

One of the most amazing facts about Canada is that it has the largest surface covered with lakes than any other nation in the world. Renowned as the Greta White North, the nation has 563 lakes that are larger than 100 square kilometers. Nearly 18% of the fresh lake water of the world is encompassed by the Great Lakes itself.

Canada has the longest coastline in the world

Bordered on three sides by three diverse oceans – Pacific, Arctic, and Atlantic, Canada has the longest coastline in the world. To state in direct terms, it accounts for 202, 080 Kilometers of the total 356, 000 kilometers of the world’s oceanfront property.

The only walled city in North America is Canada

The unique feature of Quebec City is that it has walls, which makes it exclusive of its kind in Canada and the US as well. This city is the only city situated north of Mexico to still consist of fortified walls. Quebec City’s fortifications were first built by the French and later developed by the English during the period 17th to 19th centuries.

6 times extra oil than Russia is present in Canada

Canada has approximately 176.8 billion barrels of oil that are recoverable and the oil is sticky and thick. You got it right, a semi-solid petroleum source – crude Bitumen is abundantly available in the oil sands of Canada. 5 Reasons Tourist Visa for Australia from India gets rejected

If you are applying for Tourist Visa for Australia from India, it is important to avoid the reasons for the rejection of your application. But if your application is already refused, it does not imply that you must cancel your holiday plans. You may be able to travel through other lawful options. It may be possible for you to apply again for the same Subclass Visa or apply for another Subclass Visa based on your eligibility.

You must identify the reasons for rejection if you wish to apply for the same Subclass Visa again. Here are the top 5 reasons for rejection of an Australia Tourist Visa:

Tourist Visa for Australia from India
Tourist Visa for Australia from India

1. You are from a high-risk nation & apply for an incorrect Visa

Your Visa application will be assessed by Immigration authorities based on your nation of origin. There are high chances of rejection of your application if you are from a high-risk nation.

It is important to identify the right category of Subclass Visa for your application. This is because several types of Subclass Visas are offered by Australia.

A Subclass digit denotes the category of each Visa. For example:

  • Subclass 600: Australia Visitor or Tourist Visa
  • Subclass 601: Electronic Transfer Authority /ETA Visa

The Government of Australia considers some nations as high-risk. These nations are not included in the nations eligible for ETA Visas.

The risk of rejection of your application is high if you apply for the incorrect Subclass Visa.

2. Your past Australia Visa application was rejected or you did not fulfill previous Visa conditions

One major aspect that is assessed by Australian Immigration authorities is your past Visa applications.

Fulfilling the conditions for your Australia Visa is very crucial specifically if you plan to apply again for Australia Visa. The chances of rejection of your Visa application are very high if you have not fulfilled the conditions of your Visa previously.

Visa conditions can include the following instructions:

  • No More Stay
  • Not Permitted To Work
  • Not Permitted To Study

If it is found by the Immigration Officers that you have remained beyond the validity of your Visa or did not comply with the conditions of your Visa:

  • A 3-year ban can be imposed on you and
  • Any fresh Visa application you submit will be rejected

3. If your Visa application has inconsistency

You may think that applying for an Australia Visa is quite easy requiring just filling out some forms. However, it is very important to make sure that inconsistencies are not there in your application.

If your Tourist Visa application is not consistent, it poses many risks. In a scenario wherein inconsistency is found in your application, not only your application will be ejected, but you will also be barred from appealing against the decision. Obtaining guidance from experts can ensure 100% consistency and accuracy in your application.

4. Lack of proof in the Visa application

One of the most common reasons for the rejection of an Australia Tourist Visa is inadequate proof in the Visa application. You have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria specified for the Subclass Visa that you are applying to.

For instance, you must be in a position to financially support your planned vacation. Alternatively, you can have a sponsor for your period of stay in Australia who is able to financially support you.

You must also be an authentic visitor who intends to return to your nation of origin after the tour.

Adequate proof to support your claims must be included in your Australia Visitor Visa application. Otherwise, definitely, your application will be refused.

One of the most frequent reasons for the rejection of a Visitor Visa is the inadequacy of proof for returning to your home nation. Immigration Department aims to make sure that your visit is for an authentic reason and that you do not plan to remain indefinitely after arriving on Tourist Visa.

Proof of reason to return to your home nation may include family ties, employment, and assets.

5. Your Application consists of misleading and false documents

If your application includes misleading and false documents, it will be immediately rejected and you will be banned for the next 3 years. Moreover, your future applications will also face a high risk of rejection due to past instances of misleading or false information offered. Providing false documents in the application is also unlawful.
